NEWI held mentors training on health and well-being
The training focused on MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL BEING, A PRIORITY FOR MENTORS.
It is increasingly fundamental approach to our humanitarian work that seek to strengthen and prioritize girls and women’s mental and physical well-being.
NEWI acknowledge that everyone has a right to health, but again we must not forget people in marginalized and vulnerable condition like the women and the adolescents. Our interventions in this area include; making the victim understand to aid in the healing process, Involving professionals such as Psychologists/Psychiatrists to make early diagnosis, referrals for specialized attention. We have developed community connections for victims deeply affected and to help them cope with their current situations and address their basic needs worries.
As a champion on women empowerment, NEWI is currently working on establishing more safe space for the victims to open up-scaling our psycho-social support network. View Gallery
